Paul was born and raised on the beaches of Southern California, and after graduating from college in San Diego with an arts degree in English/Creative Writing he set off to travel the world in search of stories. However, he unexpectedly found himself sucked into the fashion industry and continued to work as a model for the next decade. During this adventurous time he realized his method of storytelling was through both words and images, and proceeded to teach himself the art of photography. In 2006 he moved to New York to pursue photography full-time.

	Much of Paul's work is highly narrative and cinematic, characterized by a romantic and sensitive approach to women in which they reveal themselves as powerful and mysterious entities and is often tinged with a bittersweet nostalgia for the past, present, and future. To express this he exploits the creative use of natural or environmental light with a minimal reliance on digital alteration. Apart from photography, Paul continues to write, pursue filmmaking, learn languages (he is comfortable speaking Italian, Spanish, French, and Portuguese), is a devoted cineaste, and an avid surfer. Paul is based in Paris and New York.
